All this week, from Thursday 9th December to Sunday 12th December, we’re throwing a Raclette Week party. All raclette, all the time.
If you like oozy gooey cheese, boy howdy have we got a special event lined up for you.
The Courtyard Dairy are, as ever, hooking us right up with the good stuff — Ogleshield raclette-style cheese made in Somerset from creamy Jersey milk, heated to a melty cascade of cheesy delectability on a proper raclette grill.
Raclette and Chasselas
Of course we saw having a massive load of cheese on the menu as an opportunity to bring out some special bottles.
We will be pouring David Humbert’s La Vigne Sauvage, L’Insouciance 2019, a biodynamic Chasselas made in the French Alps. A bright and surprisingly complex take on this classic Alpine wine, L’Insouciance is unfiltered, unfined and with zero sulphur added.
It’ll be the perfect accompaniment to our Ogleshield — and to the vegan options we’ll be preparing too. See, you didn’t think we’d forget you, did you?
Book to avoid disappointment
While our raclette week(end) isn’t a ticketed event, if you’re travelling to see us specifically for the cheese, or there are more than 4 of you, or you have a strict time schedule to adhere to, we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Walk-ins are, as always, highly welcome. If we don’t have space for you, we probably will in less than half an hour or so! That’s how it usually goes at Corto when it’s busy — go for a wander and come back later for a seat and some bevs. You can choose to wait or stand at the bar and have a drink and a chat with us if you’d rather, it’s entirely your call.
To reserve a table, please email email@example.com and tell us your name, how many people will be in your party, and what time you will be arriving. Bing, bang, bong, reservation done.
Not all of our great ideas come from the top of our heads.
We want to thank this particular review for inspiring us:
Couldn’t have done it without ya, Alan x
